Hello again, I found the fixed sights lined up as good if not better then my Savage 110. While I have not taken it out hunting yet, I have done a little quick snap shooting at the range and still ended up with fairly tight groups. Three rounds in a two inch group, this was done standing, off hand. I will submit a detailed report on scope shooting after I have decided what scope to mount. Until then I will continue to practice with the rifle using the factory sights. I think due to the exagerated pistol grip of the stock, it is designed well for quick point and shoot, it seems to just snap right into place with the sights lined up, ready to go. I almost did not get it because it originally felt ungainly but after handling it on several visits to the gun shop, it felt better so I ended up getting it. As I said before, with the 10 round magazine inplace, it looks like a small BAR. I hope this information helps others to decide to give this ugly duckling more than a second glance and give it a chance. I handled the Benelli and although it felt more comfortable than the SLB 2000 did at first, there was just something about the HK SLB that attracted me more than the Benelli(besides the price), like comparing a Ferri sports car to a pick-up truck, one looks great and goes fast, but the other will get you where you want to go, no matter what the terrain is.
