Every white person I know wants to persecute and hold back everyone else becuase it is our God given right to dominate the world. It is the white man who loves paying high taxes for all of the social programs to keep other races down. It is the white man who gives away crack cocaine, heroin, meth etc to keep other races down. It is the white man who enjoys seeing prisons over crowded, high unemployment rates, ghettos and poverty. I would hate to think of a white man ever doing anything to help out a fellow human being. After all don't all white men think every other race are just animals.

Sorry about the rant, I just get fed up with people like Wright. Is there still racism today? You bet there is but it's not what all these great "civil" rights leaders would have you believe, maybe they should look in the mirror first. I guess what I am trying to say is if a white man holds someone in the gutter he has to be in the gutter also to make sure the other man doesn't escape.

I just get tired of hearing how bad white people treat everyone. I hear it at work, I hear it in the grocery store. I just want to say really and what does skin color matter. Once you skin them they all look alike. You get some strange looks when you make that comment.

In today's society it's hard to avoid racism. It's wide open in some areas more than others. I live in the south and ~~many~~ most of the black are very open with their comments or gestures. The younger generation is worse than the older generation. I try to be civil and not make waves but sometimes its mighty tempting to crack a skull. Racism is alive and kicking. The church leaders do spread the race issue throughtout the congregation and into the streets

It is unfortunate that churches teach racism. "For in Christ, there is no Jew or Greek, male or female". I believe that means that if you truly have Christ in your heart everyone is equal.
To teach otherwise would be teaching anti Biblical falsehoods.

Hey - did ANY of you guys listen the the linked clip, and hear what Wright was saying? Apart from the business about Jesus not being white - we've got the pictures to disprove that - otherwise, what did he say that is objectionable?

I listened to what he was saying.

Explain how Sadam had killed 100,000 Kurds if he did not have anything he agreed not to have after the first Gulf War. It is well known he used chemical weapons against them. Just becuase he didn't have nukes, doesn't mean he didn't have other things. It is easy to get rid of gas canisters.

Jesus being born in the ME was probably not caucasian, but does that really make a difference?
I find it hilarious that he would bring that up.

What I see the real problem with Wright is he calls out white this and white that. I certainly do not got to church to hear my pastor say black this or black that.

That is one of the many things I can't explain, as I'm not expert on subj of Saddam's methods for killing Kurds. I don't even know that Saddam killed 100,000 Kurds (not that he wouldn't have tried) one way or the other, or by what method. I'm guessing you're referring to Wrights contention that assertions that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction (whatever those are) were untrue, and that his contention is... wrong. Maybe. Saddam had no nukes, and apparently didn't have the stuff of Powell's fancy presentation. Still... seems to me that Rev. Wright, is right about most things, at least arguably so.

I do understand your point and I do appreciate the humor of your white Jesus comments.
Weapons of mass destruction can be described as chemical, biological or nuclear weapons. That is a general term only.
Sadam did use chemical weapons on the Kurds, that was one of the main charges against him before his execution. Yes he did order the extermination of them.
Also Colin Powell and Condoleeza Rice both stood behind then president Bush for the invasion of Afghanistan. Neither Powell or Rice are white. So would it be safe to say whites and two blacks are liars?

Personally I will not sit in a church where pastors, teacher etc make political statements or extoll the virtues of one race over another. Wright's ego has to justify himself to keep his congregation. It is my opinion a church should extoll the virtues of God, and righteous living. Politcs and race have very little to do with either.

I go to church to be spiritualy fed and fellowship with the brethren. I find no spiritual food discussing race or politics. I find those subjects more divisive in the church setting.

Well! The part about him being an American by birth is a lie.
Every credible expert on the WWW say's the document is an amateurish fake. You know that YT.!And for that reason alone, he is unfit and ineligible to be President.
About Bush lying to go to war with Iraq IMO is correct.A lot of half truths in what he says for sure.

I think it would be safe to say all white people have told a lie at one time or another...Some, more than others. I think that would also include blacks! He failed to mention that.

I don't believe Iraq actually had a nuke. I think it is more urban legend. They may have but if you would list a creditable source I would be the first to man up and say I am wrong about that.

I do know Iraq wanted them. A nuke program takes alot. You have to get really high grade fissible materail meaning almost pure, that takes alot of centerfuging or you have to purchase that on the blackmarket. The black marlet is watched very carefully for just that. (It was believed the Russians would try to sell the material but they haven't).The next thing would be detonator timing and that is very crucial. These things can't be done easily or everyone would have them.
