Rossi Single Shot 7.62x39 - Extractor Removal
« on: July 14, 2011, 04:19:56 PM »
Hi folks,

In connection with a rechambering project I need to remove the exractor from my break-open single shot Rossi. Its going from 7.62x39 to 303 British.

I have done this before and it always was easy and the results were outstanding.

But, this time I have one of the 'newer' synthetic models by Taurus (not the Wizard) and although it looks the same near enough, there's 'something' stopping the extractor from coming out of its slot once the small hex grub screw and the spring is removed from the underside of the underlug.

Anyone come accross this and discovered the 'magic' for popping the extractor out?

Help!
