Hog hunting in Oregon

Anybody here know if there are any feral hogs in Oregon?  I've heard some rumors and that's about it.  I've wanted to hunt hogs for a long time and I'm getting tired of waiting...

I don't know about Oregon.  Oregon gets pretty cold, doesn't it?  They are fairly prevalent in some parts of California.  Anyway, I would not be too disgruntled about what you don't have, that is pigs to shoot, as their destructive habits far out number their benefits.  As omnivores, they will displace other beneficial game and uproot the landscape to the determent of the environment.  You don't want hog trouble to begin with, but where it already exists, then by all means, do your very best in every attempted eradication, which will never happen, and enjoy both the hunting and the "groceries" you get from them.  There is no "End of Line" with pigs.

Oregon is an interesting place.  The east side of the state is the western edge of the Rockies and we have low-lands, mountains and rolling hills in the rest of the state.  Where I live in in the Willamette Valley, harsh winters are rare.  We can go through several winters before we see more than a dusting of snow. 

What amazes me is that the abundance of feral hogs and wild boar in California don't seem to ever move north...  I assume if they ever did, all the hunters that are waiting for them here would take care of them in short order.

There are feral hogs in southern Oregons' Jackson and Jefferson counties. The Oregon big game synopsis lists them as a pest. You need permission to hunt private property, but no bag limit or tag imposed. I believe you need a basic hunting license on public land and nothing more.

Now I just need to find a land owner that will let me hunt them...  So far I'm not having any luck finding some place to hog hunt.
