Borders books, e-victim?

Too bad about Borders. I always liked going there, and regularly bought from them. I must say, however, that the new e-books combined with Amazon and similar online companies make book buying a better experience unless I'm just browsing. Even browsing is easier online today because you can sample excerpts of many books, or at least find reviews, before buying.
 
My take on Borders is that there's only so much demand for big box book stores, and the industry over-built when times were good. Now the industry is in one of its periodic down cycles and there's a shakeout happening.

I never thought about e-books much until I started thinking about moving.
I picked up a Kindle and already have about 100 books on it.
It'll be a lot easier to move than those roughly 1000+ books in the libary.

I never thought I'd prefer an e-book to a real book, but the way they are implemented is so good that I can hardly stand to look at a real book anymore. I tend to read the e-books faster too. Best invention in a long time for those who like to read.

I always thought the way Borders had there stores set up was kind of dumb from a business stand point. Encouraging people to sit in the store in an easy chair and read. Why would anyone ever buy anything when the could have that place as their own personal reading room?
