Just got my First handi

Picked up a handi in 223 today .I tried some once fired brass in it and it would'textract the brass and it was a tight fit going in . Will have to try some fresh ammo.

Was the ammo originally fired in that Handi or another gun? If it was fired in another gun you'll need to full length size it.
I've had a bunch of 223 Handi's and they've all been good shooters. My latest 223 has the 1 in 9 twist barrel and is topped with a Redfield 2-7.
Is yours a 1 in 12 or 1 in 9 barrel? What do you plan on using it for? Tell us more! ;D

Not sure if it is the 1:9 or the 1:12 it was made in 08 by the prefix .Hoping to use it as a 300 to 500 yard gun but willhave to see what happens

Welcome! Anything made 2007 or later will be 1:9", full length size fired brass before loading and you won't have any problems.  ;)

welcome to the addiction! as mentioned before for other calibers as well as the 223' it may just a simple polishing of the chamber if the full size resizing doesnt solve your problem.
