Budget Talks

This might help you understand why the US has such a large budget deficit.  Many of us old farts may not get out social security checks (most of us paid for them), but we can be pleased to see where the money is going.

I have a letter drafted to send out tomorrow and let my representative know how I feel about this.  DO you think this might get a few votes for Obama?

Oh, come on! You know the drill: Wait until the last second then come up with some piece of crap legislation, and we're all screwed. That's the way it always works. Just save your time and ignore this issue until August 3.

As I watch these talks with intrest the same thought keeps comming to mind , DOG AND PONY SHOW ! They are more worried about winning the next election than they are about getting there to have one .

The sickening thing about all this is that the numbers they are talking about are nothing compared to the increase in federal spending since about 2006. Federal spending increased about 40% since 2006. They should be talking about cutting tens of trillions in spending, not just a couple.
 
They'll come up with something that doesn't go far enough and then spend the next year congratulating themselves until it's time to get reelected.
