I did a some testing with few different barrels

30 Herrett
old frame .002 New frame jamed shut difficult to open

7 tcu
old frame .006 new frame .0015

22lr
old frame .002 new frame jamed shut difficult to open

22 match
old frame .008 new frame .0035

22 hornet
old frame .004 new frame .000
The difficult to opens sometimes required removel of the hinge pin to get the barrel open.
kinda a pain in the butt process and I give up after 5 barrels but Brings me to the conclusion that all barrels and frames may not be 100% interchangeble , I seem to have some barrels that are better suited to use on paticular frames .

never had a barrel/frame combo that did not interchange like you.....just livin' right, I guess

I too have several barrels that wont fit both frames. My older blued frame seams to like every one I have put on it but he S.S. is picky

from the above test
old frame is a blue preasy open model
new frame is Stainless steel
