S&W full size grip revolver in 22lr

I'm getting farther into the 22cal guns.  I have a taurus 94 in 22lr which has smaller grips the grip stops in length were my pinky finger begins.  Its left hanging in the air.  My H&R 922 is the closest to a full size hand grip so far that i have seen.  What does S&W offer as far as a full size 22cal revolver?  Older models you like??     CZY

When my Dad was in the academy they had Model 28's converted to .22LR. I have never been able to find one since. They were to help train inexperienced troopers during range training.

If you're not limiting your search to S&W there is the Colt Diamondback, Officer's model match, and I think they even chambered the Trooper MkIII in .22LR for a limited time.

None made in great numbers and will be pricey when you find them!

I had a model 17 in 22.  It's the size of a 357 with 4" barrel.  I messed up and traded it.

Excellent gun.

The last time I was poking around on Davidson's website (which I try to avoid doing), they had some new, limited run K-22's for sale.

Get a firm grip on your chair before you look at the price though, they were spendy.

If you want a full sized grip, you can put Pachmayr Gripper grips on a J frame like a S&W Model 63. If you want a full sized grip frame, then the K frame .22 are great. Model 17 and 18 in blued and the current 617 in stainless can’t be beaten. In out of production models, Colt and Dan Wesson have good .22s if you can find one.

Early 617 has a square butt. Any 'k' or 'l' grip will fit. Huge selection.

S&W made the Model 17 and the Model 18 for a long time.
I have a M17 and it is a full sized K frame.  This one is a 6" model my last one was a 4"
Both had the standard adjustable sights the 6" has the target front and the 4" had the combat style.
the 18 was 4" only from what I understand.

I have a S&W K22 masterpiece revolver w/6'' barrel in 22lr comming today. CZY

The BBT stopped here today and i got a brand new looking S&W K22 masterpiece w/6'' barrel in 22lr in a revolver.  What a sweet little shootin iron it is.  She was manufactured in the early 50's like me.  It has the adjustable rear site and its 6 shots.  she has to be a collectors piece by now.  I'll take her out for a walk to shoot her but she will go to sleep after a good cleaning and lubing. It also came with the orginal box, screwdriver and cleaning rod & brush from S&W "orginal".

My 617 is scoped and has taken more tree rats than any other gun I own. I have a 17 that I purchased about a year ago, and it's a fine shooter. Never shoot my .22 SP101 any more, so I guess I'll sell it. My .22 Bisley doesn't get fired too much either, but I may convert it to a .17 HMR.

I have a model 17 6" that I bought in the early 80s. I bought some oversize coco bolo grips and put on it before I shot it. It has shot many bulk boxes of cci hollow points and was amazingly accurate for years. It was my favorite thing that I owned for many years.

It appears you have solved your problem already with the K-22 as the solution. Well played!
 
I thought I might make a suggestion about your Taurus M-94. Try the Pachmayr Compac grip on it for a better grip that even has a special place the your "pinky" finger. It also moves your hand farther away from the trigger for a more problem free trigger pull.

I have 4 17's, 1 617, and a model 18. The Smith .22 revolvers are unbeatable,in my opinion.

Are you positive of this? N frames in .22LR?
