AA2520 in the .223 Rem with 50gr bullets, anyone?
« on: January 05, 2004, 09:18:16 AM »
I just picked up a new .223 Rem rifle, and need to load for it.  I wish to use AA2520, with 50 gr hornady Vmax bullets (I have a bunch of AA2520 I use in my Garands).  The manual says the max loads in .223 are compressed.  Should I worry about it, or just load em and go.  I'd rather not invest in another powder if I don't have to, as I have a bunch already from slow to fast.

Use it. Don't worry about it as long as you stick with book loads. It is a fine choice for .223 with 50 grain bullets. One of my favorites in fact.
