The FAQ's is your friend ;)   "The forend hanger screw on current production firearms is a ¼"-20x½" flathead machine screw.

Early H&R barrels use  a ¼"-28x½" forend screw, many hardware stores don't carry the ¼"-28 but a metric screw in 6-16 flathead is a close fit and will do in a pinch.  ¼-28 and ¼-20 machine screws can be ordered from http://www.smallparts.com" Kurt

I found that True Value or Ace hardware stores usually have them in stock.  The only difference is that they are not phillips heads, just regular flat screws.  They sell for about a dime each, so pick up a few for spares.
They also have the stock bolts, if needed or if you want a spare.

My quandary, I personally, don't think I have enough Handi's but, I know I have more Handi's than I really need or should have.
