I read on MSN where he went on a rant at a rally in Aspen, CO last week about skeptics of global warming. He said it's BS science. Of course if he is proved to be full of BS which I think he is, his money making gig is up in smoke.

I hadn't read anything about him in quite awhile. Wish it has stayed that way.

Poor Al Gore.. he is so deluded when he says all scientists agree with him. He does have a long list of names ..but most have science degrees..but few have anything to do with weather. He has shrinks, sociologists, botanists & political scientists. It seems the weather scientists he has.... in that university in England, are really handy at stretching the truth !

algore is the biggest hypocrite in the party of hypocrites. he has a larger carbon footprint than anyone else in Tenn.

The problem is. Scum, and yes that is my take on people like him and his ilk, never sleep. Decent people must work and raise and provide for a family. They sleep so to speak.

Well if it were not for the fact that we have already had over 2 months of
days in the mid 90s where I live, I would say he was full of guano. But
we are and have been setting record after record for heat with no sign
of letting up. The thermometer on my porch agrees with old Al,

Yep, but did you ever notice them old weather records seem to get broken every couple of decades or so. Funny about that.

Yup, and we were setting cold and snowfall records in the Midwest and Northeast this past winter. Weather isn't the same as climate. A hot season (or even a couple in a row) doesn't make a trend. Look carefully at the global climate data over long periods of time, then you can see trends (if they haven't monkeyed with the data, like we caught NASA and the Brits doing...)

I don't know where you live...but where were you during last winter, when many cold records were broken ? That's when even some of the 'warmies' were talking of a new 'ice age'... For those chicken littles, the sky is always falling..but sometimes the temperature changes..

Yes, we are having a pretty bad heat wave here now. Not the hottest it's ever been or the longest one has lasted though. Last winter it dropped to 3 below zero. That is only the third time I've seen below zero temperatures here. What's that tell you? It tells me it's hot now and was very cold last winter but one season doesn't make a trend. Also we had a very mild May and June this year. Just lucky I guess. It's also the driest year on record for here but I'll bet it rains again. Just don't know when.

I can't get too excited about a science that can't accurately predict what the weather is going to do three days in advance.

Adulterer Gore and junk science. ~~The man~~ This person has no moral character it is no wonder he uses junk science to promote lies. All of this for self promotion and greed.
In reality there are temperature highs and lows in different parts of the country. One part of the country is in drought another part in flood. For us this summer we had 3 days of the 115+ temps (instead of 2 weeks) we had more low 100s than usuall. It has actually been a pleasant summer except for the week it rained and got the humidity up.

G. W. Bush gets a lot of blame for things and not much credit for anything good. In my book he is a hero, because he kept that steaming pile of excrement (Algore) from becoming President. I give him (Dubya) double credit for also keeping the war hero--John Freaking Kerry--from occupying the White House.

The EPA is going like gang busters now, imagion what they would have been like if Al had gotten elected President.

Tipper did not leave him because he had an affair, she probably applauded that he finally had the stones to go out and do something on his own. Tipper left him because he had made so much of this Global Warming issue, and he was rapidly becoming the laughing stock of the world. Tipper did not want to be laughed at as well, for standing by him when he has shown he is a fool. The Scientist he had put so much faith in are rapidly being shown to be liers, and people that manipulate their test results to show what they want them to show.

Just last week another one of the top scientist that started the whole Global Warming Issue, the one that claimed all the Poler Bears were drowning. His claim was that due to the ice melting, and the Bears had to swim farther. The distance was too far and all the Poler Bears would be extinct within a few decades due to drowning. This scientist is now being investigated over ethics issues. It seems he manipulated his test results, to show what he wanted them to show, instead of the truth.

There is BIG Money in accepting granta to strudy things fgor politicians...and if you can manipulate, jigger nor lie about "facts" to get the answers those politicians want to hear, you're almost guaranteed mor Million$$$ for more 'research'. ....And that goes beyond 'global warming'.

Predicting weather three days in advance is meteorology. Very different than climatology, which predicts long-tern climate based on historical trends and current conditions.

We aren't great at meteorology, but are pretty good and are getting better all the time. Compare how accurate we are today vs. 10 years ago.

We also aren't very good at all at climatology, and sadly aren't getting much better over time since there is so much politics involved with the funding.

Junk science is junk science. You can't make something good out lies, misinformation and bad data.
I do believe we should do what we can to protect our environment but it should be done in a logical and responsible fashion. Not some idiotic run around like chicken little screaming the sky is falling.
Fortunately when the time came for Al Gore to step up to the plate and do the right thing he was very silent and stupid. All he had to do was stand up in the senate and say something to the effect; the president has dihonored himself and the country. Please vote your conscience.
I guess this was too much for him since he was doing similar things.
