Anybody do any scrimshaw?

I've started into yet another creative outlet!  ;D   I'm playing around with scrimshaw.  Here's my first attempt.  I'm pretty happy with the outcome, I already have a couple of custom projects for pay to try.

Not yet, plan to try some deer leg bone daggers with work on the handles. Some nice looking ones online. ear

 I've always liked it, but don't have much artistic talent. How well would it work to transfer a picture w/carbon paper?

Carbon paper is supposed to work good.  I'm going to find out on a project soon.
