I had 1 box of the 36 grain varmint grenades. I worked with them in a 1 - 14" twist 223. I could not get them to shoot well for me. I used up all of them in the 223 so I did not try them in the Hornet. I have tried Mid South 34 grain Varmint Nightmare HP (much cheaper than the Grenades) bullet with very good results. I took load data right out of Speer's manual. I used CCI 500 primers, the 34 grain Mid South bullet and 12.4 (starting load for 33 grain bullet) of W 296 powder. I know that Lil'Gun is very popular in the Hornet, but I have had better luck with W 296 under lighter bullets. Just make sure you use a CCI 500 primer, a small rifle primer with 12.4 grains of W 296 is an overload.
Good Luck and Good Shooting
