Why is there a war in libya?
« on: August 22, 2011, 05:05:39 AM »
Maybe if I keep asking somebody will know. I can't find a good reason anywhere. As always, US involvement is poorly articulated by the "leadership".

Obama needed a victory of some sort. So he chose a weak target that was hated by the world including most Arab countries.

That's about the only reasonable explanation I've seen. And he didn't even need to argue about WMDs.

(Of course, WMDs are now defined as just about anything more powerful than a spit ball. I've seen fire crackers refered to as WMDs.)

What are the chances that the Muslim Bortherhood will also run Libya.
When the Rebels started they had no Arty of any other larger weapons. Now I see them rolling into Tripoli with Tanks. Where did they get them ??

IMHO it is because the leader of a sovereign nation traded in gold and the Yuan. And NOT the US Dollar that is the "recognized" global trade currency. In short, somebody wasn't getting their cut.

The problem is you are looking for a good reason. There isn't one. You need to start looking for the real reason.

Instability in North Africa is wanted...to get at oil and other resources....Gaddaffi has alot of information certain folks.
Lybia was not a debtor nation and quite successful in a socialized fashion and with sharia styled banking, and so anti-NWO...that automatically puts you in the axis of evil...and big huge target

Next hotspot Venezuela...now claimed to have the worlds largest oil resources according to OPEC...larger than SA

..TM7

Instabilty to get at a countrys natural resourses? Now that make no sense what so ever.

Now BO forwarding the muslim agenda that is believable. BO is pushing the one world caliphate, we have seen Egypt, now Libya, next Syria. Only the mentally challenged would miss it.

This is another war that you will be paying for at the gas pumps. Why don't our head in their butts government demand repayment in barrels of oil from Iraq, Afganistan, Libya, and everyone other country that we run to begging to send billions and sadly more of our citizens in uniforms to be killed for no other reason than to protect the oil interests of people who care less about human life.

Yes, the last to fall will be Saudi Arabia. Then oil will go to $200 a barrel.

PM, you are correct, sir.

Shaggy, your answer is one of the most ridiculous and malicious posts I have seen here at GBO.  It is offensive.

Oil will be $200 a barrel. Where we get our food from? China, South America? They will have choices.  Are you thinking they will be dependent on our grain exports? With the rise in oil prices grain prices will raise too. That means millions more will starve to death in Africa. We and congress will be the blame because we didn't stop Obama's illegal war.
