Survey’s finding re: tea party & atheists & muslims

  I think research done in 2006 and 2007 is irrelevant now. I don't think I even knew there was a tea party back then. The survey was about religion in America, nothing to do with popularity.

  Did you read the article before you posted it? The article clearly states the study was about religion and the research was done in 2006 and 2007.


So the second link is to a different article. Why didn't you post this one the first time?


The second article states the research was done in 2006 and 2007. It was all about religion not politics. The conclusion was that Christian right was more hated than the Muslims and atheist. The original study in 2006 was clearly a hit piece on Christians. Then they go and interview a few of the original participants to find who supports the tea party. The hated Christians were more likely to support the tea party. So they conclude that the tea party is more hated than Muslims and atheist.


This is an opinion formed by completely unrelated manipulated data by people who hate Christians. No reference to who the original participants were, Muslims, atheist and democrats?

I always have trouble believing this kind of survey. Be like asking a question on the Chris Mathews show, does Obama send a tingle up your leg? You know with his audience, 75 to 80 percent are going to say yes. Like asking a question on the Fox news program. Ya know your going to get a biased opinion. What, maybe 70 to 80% of the population doesn't even know who the speaker of the house is, and how many think that bailout money came from Obama's ''stash'' supply. I had a friend of mine just the other day, say he was worried about how the tea party was trying to undo the constitution. I started to tell him that the tea party was the organization that was pushing to get the govt. back to obeying the constitution, but, bit my tongue, as I remembered he is a good union man, and I'ld be wasting my breath. gypsyman

In an op-ed article in the New York Times, Robert D. Putnam, a professor of public policy at Harvard, and David E. Campbell, a political scientist at Notre Dame, say they have collected data indicating that the tea party is "less popular than much maligned groups like 'atheists' and 'Muslims.'"

Let's break this down.
1- A liberal bird cage liner printed an article by two liberals. (No news or intelligence there)
2- One of the liberal authors is a professor from Harvard the bastion of liberal stupidity.  His credentials are he teaches public policy? ( makes you wonder who he is related to or who he has the dirt on)
3- The other liberal author is from Notre Dame a school with a good athletic program which if they were without they would only have a vacuum that sucked in liberal exhaust. This mans credentials are that he is a political scientist. ( that makes him a oxymoron)
4- This was posted here by a fellow who loves to post outlandish things he gathers from his favorite sources of stupidity,  just to tick folks off.
Sorry to disappoint you Junior , it doesn't tick me off.  Your posts are just like the article one has to consider the source.

You can find surveys to show just about anything.  I can even get a survey here to show that a great many members think Obama should be a one term wonder.
