I added 2 more this last Sunday, traded in a 57 Levermatic in 22 mag. that we couldn't get to pull a case out of the chamber back in on the second 444P that I have seen, in beautiful shape. 8)  Now both P's are in my house. ;D  Then went to Cabela's and they made me an offer I couldn't refuse on a 1957 336 in 35 rem. that is in outstanding shape.  Not a mark on the wood and only a couple of small marks on the top of the receiver.  Has an old steel Redfield 4X scope mounted and looks like the factory drilled the hole for the sling swivel in the wrong spot and filled and redrilled.  A Marlin double header, what a way to lead up to Fathers Day. ( My wife wonders why I tell her I don't want anything for Fathers Day. ::).)   ;D  Pic's will follow when my kids help me. :-[  DP

I think I've got the Marlinitis I ve read of:  444 w/22inch and a Williams peep started it all!
                                                         45-70 ported Guide
                                                         45-70 CB
                                                         38-55 CB
                                                         35A  1950
                                                         338 MX
                                                         308 MX
                                                         30-30 SS
                                                         30-30 CB
                                                         45LC CBC
                                                         22 39A

Seeing this in writing? HMMM.. Perhaps I do need marlinitis counseling. I also had a 375 but traded it cause no what the combination of loading and reloading and various mechanical tweeks we couldn't bring it consistently in side of six inches or so.

I've got a Model 81DL in .22 - looking to replace ancient scope with something brighter.

For deer, I've 336 in 30-30.

Killed an 9pt and 6pt with the 336 last season... good rifle, Nikon scope.
Jesus said we should treat other as we'd want to be treated... and he didn't qualify that by their party affiliation, race, or even if they're of diff religion.

Just got back into the Marlin club this afternoon. Picked up a NIB 1895 STBL in 45/70. Really nice wood and a nice handling little gun. I've been wanting an 1895 for years and just couldn't resist this one. Good times in the VA woods this Nov.

Added another 44 mag. to the fold, looked at a 30-30 project gun last week, I'll try not to give in, but I know it dont work that way, thank goodness.
an unloaded wepon is equal to the same mass and volume as a rock.
