I know Aaron right, I should have just bought it , but i had picked a M10 Savage 308 the weekend before I found this Marlin and the Savage is shooting ,... well here  is a pick of three 3 shot groups with my hand loads out of it at 100.

Upper left 3 shot is Nosler's 168gr bthp, Upper right group from bullseye is the Serbian PRVI Partisan 168gr bthp, And the group just to the right of the bulleye is 3 shots of 168gr Amax

Aaron thanks,  I sure did find a shooter , that was one of the main reasons i wasnt down there wheeling and dealing that savage for the marlin..

Funny thing is , the Noslers and the Amax loads my old weatherby 308 didnt like at all .. the PRVIs is what would produce sub-half inch groups for that rifles 1 in 12 barrel. I have always been a big fan on Hornady products.
