new holster for my SP101
« on: August 30, 2011, 07:55:11 AM »
i was poking around on another forum and saw where this fella had made a GP100 holster. ive always wanted to try a leather/ kydex holster, but didnt ever want to pay a lot for one in case i didnt like it, and i sure dont like waiting when i need a holster... so i thought why not... i contacted him about making one for my SP101 and he said he could.

well it arrived yesterday. fits the gun great! its gonna take some getting used to on my part tho finding a comfortable spot to wear it that doesnt print, but i like it! and i love the tuckable feature and the fact he uses horsehide as i live here in the deep south in Missisweaty... the clips are tight, and i am probably gonna order some j-clips later on to try them...
all in all i am very happy with it. for the price point and the short wait time, its a great value.

thanks top!

Joe,

I'm glad you like it.  I hang out on this forum because I like the NEF/H&R threads but I'm glad I saw your post.

Wear it for a couple of weeks and let us know how you like it then.

Take care,

Hey top
Fancy meeting you here!

Yea it is a lot of holster. Its design allows it to "wrap" around the body and reduce bulge

Quite the contrary. They are actually quite comfortable. They are thinner than an all leather IWB holster and the kydex faces out so the leather lays against your skin/ undergarments.

maybe so , I saw what looks like them at a gun show and it didn't look comfortable to me but in fairness body shape would matter here .
