Gov Perry is a tripple threat to the Democrats and they will pull out all the stops to try to defeat him and slander him.
1st - He is a Conservitive
2nd - He has convictions and sees things as right and wrong and will not budge on what he thinks is wrong
3rd - He was a Democrat, An Al Gore supporter that does not buy into the Make Al Gore and his buddies multi Billionaires in the fake man made global warming.

Assuming the folks at that church are incorporated as a non profit, they just violated the law and could have their non profit status nulled by the IRS.
 
Of course, since they obviously support the present admin. that won't happen.
