I have the model 25 "classic" which is the sporter weight barrel with a walnut stock. I absolutely love the rifle. I purchased it as a dual purpose rifle. My deer rifle is in .270 and is also a savage with the accutrigger and same style stock. I set up this .223 with the same scope to be somewhat of a training range rifle and provide more consistancy to my shooting. Also, as a carry/walking type varminter it is great.
As far as accuracy goes, it will shoot every factory round I have tried at under 1" with the best being fiocchi 40grain vmax. It has shot these into 1/2" for 3shots at 150yds. It is very consistant at 1/2 to 3/4 moa with most any handload including 50grain nosler BT's and vmaxs. The little rifle will pretty much hang in there with my friends $2000 custom remington 700 prairie dog rifle. Gotta love it!
I don't think you could go wrong.
