just picked up a new handi in 223 for 125.00 any accurizing suggestions, recommended loads

Check the serial number on the FAQ section to see what year you have. That should help you determine what barrel twist you have (1:12 vs 1:9).  I would shoot it first before making any changes.  If for no other reasons to see what changes your changes create.

Congrats on an excellent buy.  Shoot it first, then see if you need any accurizing tips.  I have many that shoot just fine as they came from the box.  DP

Good buy!!

To start, I would only check the basics like scope base screws, scope rings, a clean oil free latch and shelf. Then clean the barrel. Other than that, I agree with above, go shoot it!!
