31 round glock .40 mags?

any of you use the 31 rounders with your .40's at all? I was watching a you tube video about them and they guy said to stay away from certain brands of them but never named what brands are good or bad. Looking for someone with some experience in using them to guide me in the right direction. If they are all crap I will just buy some glock factory 22 rounders.

I bought a three each of the 9mm and .40,  just because I could. Haven't tried them all, but the ones I tried worked fine. I also bought a dozen or so of the Korean standard capacity mags in both 9 and .40. Those I've tried worked fine as well, with the exception of a couple that didn't want to drop freely. I'm fixing those when I have time. Fortunately, Glocks don't seem to be as fussy about magazines as some platforms.

where did you buy from?? I seen that cheaper than dirt has KCI brand mags so im wondering if that is the brand your talking about. It seems as they have alot of hit and miss results with those according to the customer reviews.

I have some KCI mags that work fine , they tend to not drop free even though they are lined with metal. Their 33 round 9mm mags work well as do Glock 33 round mags. Here we can get both 33 round Glock 9mm mags and 25 round 40 S&W mags but no 31 round for either. I have not tried 40 S&W mags of any brand as of yet. I may if funds free up or prices go down. Here in retail stores Glock 33/25 round mags are $49.98 while the KCI mags go for in the twenties at shows.

any of you familiar with the Scherer mags? It seems that any of the places I have looked at does not have them in stock. I see they are about twice the price of the KCI mags and wondering if the price difference is actually worth it as far as the quality compares against the KCI mags. I think im just going to buy a KCI and give it a try. thanks

I have seen them and have seen shooters at the range with them but never tried one that I can remember. Never heard a complaint .

If I'm remembering correctly, I bought my KCI mags from CDNN. They were about $5-6 for the standard capacity.  Don't remember the cost of the 31/33 rd mags. It's been a while.

I have shot a full KCI mag 3 times now with no problems. The first two times I was actually trying to aim. The last time I dumped it as fast as I could.  I had a hard time getting this thing loaded at first. Took me almost a week to get it up to 23 rounds by hand. I ended up buying a upLULA loader from butler creek. This thing is worth every cent and I think if you dont a lot of pistol shooting you should have one.
