Once Knew a Girl Named Irene (Hurricaine)

She was as nasty as could be LOL Well we had orders to evacuate and go to shelters but If you live more than 3/4 of a mile from the Ocean and Delaware bay we were not required to evacuate. I built my house 7 years ago and made sure it was Hurricane safe I did far more than was required by code I guess now I will see if the added expense pays off? I decided to stay home as my gun safes are in my garage and if we do get water in the garage I will be here to move all my guns to a higher area. I told my wife to pack up and go to my daughters and stay but she said if you are going to stay I will stay with you. God love her I guess that is why we will celebrate 50 year's of marriage Nov 4Th this year. Will LYK what happens anyone else in harms way? let us know LOU

Alls well that ends well. Came through in flying colors. Lot of wind 50-60  some gusts higher. One tree fell just missed my house. Had no flooding. God help those people in NJ they seem to have been hit harder with the flooding. Lou

Tons of flooding here in the White Mountains section of New Hampshire. People's houses under water, road washouts, trees down etc. My town got 6 inches of rain in 24 hours, some towns got more than that. I got lucky and had no water issues at my house.
