I have a buddy preparing for a pig hunt with a central Kalifornistan guide. He prepared by verifying my 150 grain GMX load worked well in his new 30-06 rifle. He talked to his guide about what he was using and his guide told him not to use the Hornady GMX bullet. He said the GMX basically explodes on contact with the animal (I assume he meant when bone such as the shoulder is hit) and he does not consider it a good choice for pig. I have no field expierence with the GMX. Those with GMX pig expierence, please tell me about your results with the GMX on pig.
