Need a good factory bullet for deer hunting ,what do you think?
I enjoy collecting guns, swaping and staying up on all the newest models. I deer, quail, squirrel and rabbit hunt.

My tried and true ammo of choice is Remington core-lokt in 130 or 150 grain. It always penetrates through to give you an exit hole and therefore a blood trail, but bullet expansion is good, too. Boiler room destruction is nearly complete on a good hit. A deer hit with a core-lokt will often run, but never more than 100 yards in my experience. Finding them is usually easy with the adequate blood trail. There are a lot of more expensive brands, but core-lokt has never failed me. (I am in no way affiliated with Remington, in case you are wondering)
There is no more humbling experience for man than to be fully immersed in nature's artistry.

AS for factory ammo, I have to second Huntsman's motion on the 130 Grain Remington core loct.  I personally only hunt with hand loads using 130 grain Nosler Partitions, but I have a good friend who uses factory ammo exclusively and the Remington 130 Core Loct has always served him very well for the last 10 years of  hunting deer in Wyoming and Utah.

There used to be an old guy from Georgia on here who said he had shot dozens of deer with that bullet and that it was a winner for him.  I forget his name, but maybe some of the others know who he is.

Only two loads I have used are the Hornady Custom 140 BTSP and the Federal Premium 150 Nosler PT. Both have done a super job on every thing shot with them so far to include a bunch of deer and some exotics.

I agree with Graybeard.  Go with either the Hornady Custom or the Federal Premium and you won't go wrong.  Lawdog

Not trying to take anything away from the Remington ammo I have had good results on whitetails and feral hogs with Winchester 150 Power Point factory ammo.  I prefer Winchester brass so when this ammo goes on sale I buy some of it and it works preety good.
