I was going to order one. The add at CTD said it had a 1/10" twist that I thought was a little fast. I E mailed there CS and the response was yes it's a fast 1/10". I then called Rossi CS and it's a 1/30" twist. I'm going to use 300gr.+ bullets and want 1/20" twist.
RIP Mike. Died on July 14th, around 2am, with his family at his side, he went peacefully to be with god.

a new member at my camp has a 44 mag Rossi
he had it at the range a couple of weeks ago and using the Winchester "white" box 240gr ammo,I shot some targets that all 3 of the holes touched at 50 yds
I liked it so much that I am looking for myself one

I had a H&R .44 Mag. that shot Winchester white box 240 gr. into 1-1/2" at 100 yd.  I was quite impressed with it.

I have a H&R Handi Rifle in .44 Mag, a great shooter. Much better quailty than a Rossi, AND it's made in the USA. I highly reccommend one, but be sure you get one made within the last 4 or 5 years. The original ones had slightly oversize bores and would not shoot some factory ammo well. If you reload this is not a problem, just slug the bore and use the appropriate bullets. All the newer one (5 years old or newer) are great shooters of factory ammo as well as reloads....<><....:)
