Black Powder in E. Central Florida area?
« on: September 04, 2011, 03:50:25 AM »
Anybody know where I can buy black powder in Florida? Hopefully near the Melbourne/Vero Beach area?
I would prefer Goex but will take what I can get.
Mail order is not an option since I will only be there for a week while on vacation.

carmy53,

I know this is not in the exact area you are looking but, if you want I believe that Buffalo Bill's Shooting Store in Orlando may have what you are looking for. I would give them a call first and confirm before the drive. If, not they may be able to refer someone closer to you.

If you make it idiot proof, then, someone will make a better idiot.

Thanks. 190 mile round-trip but if I can't find something closer I'll call them.

Bass Pro Shp has it, but you have to ask.

Yes, I get mine at Bass Pro on the north end of International Drive, "tourist central".  From Vero come over to the Turnpike and go north.  Or I-95 north to 528.

You have to ask at the gun desk.  It is locked up in the "hazardous materials" locker.  They sometimes have 1F but were out when I went last.  I had to get 2F and 3F for the small stuff, salutes only.

When will you be in the area and how long you going to be around?  I may have your order done by then, if the bit would come in.
