shot number two(doe) today
« on: October 18, 2011, 03:51:04 PM »
I shot another doe today from the blind that I bought at walmart for $100. I was using my Mathews Z7extreme with beman ICS 340 shafts and this time I used a standard muzzy 100 grain four blade. I shot her very close to the blind. I thought that she was going to die right where I shot her but she staggered about 15 yards and died. Kudo's to Muzzy 4 blade 100 grain broadheads.

Chris,
Good hunting! I also hunt with the 100gr Muzzys and a Mathews bow. While not a Z7 Extreme, my old Q2 does just fine if I get a deer within 30yds. That seems to be the hard part for me lately. :P

Thanks, Dinny

Good job Chris. Ya better slow down, you are going to need a new freezer for gun season.

I shot a couple deer with the slick tricks which are four blades. These made a larger hole than the slick tricks. She had massive blood loss.

I shoot the slick tricks. I like the way the fly mostly is why I use them. They hit almost identical to my field tips. The flight is clean and doesn't require me to tune with them. I haven't tried a 4 blade Muzzy though. Congrats on your deer!
