More Galleries >> DENVER (CBS4) – Police are asking for the public’s help tracking down a large group of violent teenagers.
They say 10 to 15 young people — described as black or Hispanic and both male and female — attacked four white men on the 16th Street Mall at about 10:45 p.m. on Sunday.
Denver police say the men were standing on the mall near Arapahoe when they were approached by the group. After a conversation, the group turned violent and they attacked the men.

Two of the four victims left the scene before they could be questioned. The Denver Post reported that two of the victims suffered minor injuries.
“It’s really unclear as to what their motivation was — why such a large group of young people came together and assaulted these individuals,” said Denver police spokesman Sonny Jackson.
Authorities say the attacks could have been gang related or racially motivated.
“We’re not going to dismiss anything in this case because we don’t know,” Jackson told CBS4.
In 2009 a similar series of attacks took place near downtown, on the 16th Street Mall and in surrounding areas. The victims were usually white or Hispanic and the suspects were black. Surveillance video captured one of the attacks on camera.
Many of those arrested in connection with the assaults were known to have ties with street gangs. Police said some or all of those attacks may have a kind of gang initation.
Police will confirm that in this weekend’s case the victims were not robbed, which narrows down the list of motives somewhat.
Police are asking anyone who has more information about the attacks, including the two victims who walked off, to come forward. They also want to interview anyone who witnessed the attack.
There is a $2,000 Crimestoppers reward for information that helps solve the case.

if i were there with my wife and kid/grand kids i don,t think i could just let it happen. i would most likely go to jail. and they would call it a hate crime just because i defended myself and mine.

They can only hide the lies for so long. Most people know whats going on. Only the liberals/main stream media will deny the racisam here. That denial helps galvinize opposistion. Obama will be putting together plans for a library soon....

15 huh? Hmmmm, lets see..... my PF-9 holds 8 shots. My back-up P-32 8 more....hey that leaves me with a spare, not to mention the seven 9's in my spare magazine. These mass attacks are happening more often but let a few victoms start dropping these low lifes and that crap will stop in a hurry!

agree with you 100%. but the problem is after all is said and done and the riots put down the white victoms will go to jail

Denver is among the major US cities that have an increasing problem with illegal immigrants and Hispanic gangs with both legal and illegal members. In addition there has been a massive migration of blacks from the LA area to Denver, Salt Lake City, Los Vegas and other mid-west cities to avoid the drug dealer competition there. They have also infiltrated many Eastern states as well.

This will continue to be a growing problem until the federal government takes aggressive action to rid this country of all illegals and put tighter restraints on remaining gangs, black, white or Hispanic.

This is also justification for concealed carry and revised laws, criminal, tort and liability for those who use a firearm in protecting themselves or another life. Keep in mind, many of these punks do not care if they live or die, they have no respect for you or your life and will hurt you given the opportunity.

And friend and associates have the gall to ask why I carry?

The problem with being confonted with a gang is that 2 or more of them will be behind you where you can't react as quickly while also being confronted by the 1 in front. Hopefully I will be with a friend or in a place where I can get my back to a wall if ever confronted this way. I avoid those areas and dark, when I can. But be aware that the 16thstreet mall is in the middle of the "good" part of downtown.

I still think that if a gang is proven violent then if one commits a crime every one of them should be arrested and found guilty by association. Gangs exist because we allow them to!

I heard that these are staged with help from black community leaders, aldermen, etc. and their old gang relations, in order to get more money for their neighborhoods. I heard it from a reliable source in the chicago fbi.

I am not sure a Glock would help. From the few videos I have seen of these attacks, the attackers are very sneaky (besides being evil).
Here's how they seem to work;
They have a right to be on the sidewalk, even in a group. They pre-plan..... then and saunter up to their intended victim.. and slowly close in. Soon there are perps completely surrounding the chosen victim (still legal)..so close that at a signal they all jump and attack in a split second.
At what point does the intended victim pull out the Glock and initiate action ? If he does just a nano-second before they strike...you know how it will be presented in court.

How are your chances, now that these gangs have been emboldened by an attorney general who has already refused to prosecute civil rights offenders; and does it on a racial basis ?
