Savage model 210F (rifled slug barrel) and FT (smooth bore) are based on the Savage 110 bolt action.  Gauge 12 w/ 3-inch chamber, 2-round detachabe magazine.  Built 1997 to date.

I have a 210F, which is the fully rifled slug gun.  The magazine is not detached but built into the the stock.  For a 12 ga slug gun it shoots very well, being more accurate than my mossberg trophy slugster, Remington 870, and encore 20 ga barrel (all are fully rifled barrels).  I'm not sure where you want the bolt measured.  Let me know and I'll measure for you.

hubel458:

My 210's receiver just before the retaining nut is 1.35 inch in diameter.  The bolt is two pieces with three locking lugs.  The radius from the center of the firing pin hole to the out side of the locking lugs as measured across the face of the bolt is .553 inches.  The radius from the firing pin hole to the inside of the locking lugs is .433 inches.  Sorry but with my measuring instruments I could not get and accurate reading in the middle of the bolt.

Hope this helps?

Can I ask why you are interested?

Dragon--If you have been over on other forum. you would have read about The 12 GA From Hell we developed.Using BMG brass,
put a rim on it and straigtened out, and we have a 3.8 in long
brass 12 GA case.Super strong, reloadable, set up like the
old Paradox big game rifle/ shotguns. That Savage will have more
strength than double rifles. And cost a huge amount less.Just put on a heavy long  barrel, like the
paradox guns had.Add a big heavy stock and good recoil pad.
will have more power than 460, and brass last forever.Ed.

Sounds like an interesting project.  I've used and commanded the use of the .50 cal. Browning M2 for its orginal purpose and somehow I don't think I need that much power for Southern Indiana deer.  Now if you can figure a way to reduce the Savage 210F to  to 20 ga. shooting Winchester or Remington Sabots I'm real interested.  They do make commerical 12 ga brass shells, I don't know how strong they are.  I do have a small supply of 50 cal rounds and empty brass and I may see how they fit the action of the Savage just for fun.
Good luck with your project.

Dragon--If some here do this, with Savage, some will shorten brass to use
magazine, and myself I will just lengthen port and do  it as singleshot.
Some are already building it on falling block.Ed.
