New to me S&W m34-1 Blued 4" Flat Latch
« on: September 14, 2011, 12:09:34 PM »
I just bought an excellent condition S&W m34-1 .22 Revolver 4" barrel with adj. sights. I'm not much of a handgun guy but have wanted something to take with me into the woods when scouting and exploring. I'll probably end up carrying it while deer hunting as I usually see some grouse and snowshoe hares while hunting up in Maine.

This revolver seems better made than the newer stuff I've looked at. I almost bought a 317 with a 3" barrel for more money and I'm glad I held off until I found this one. I'll probably sell my single six because I'll never carry that now that I got this nice one.

I sympathize with you William, so here is some J frame .22 eye candy for us.
These are not mine. I can't afford to collect guns, so I collect pictures of guns  ;D  and keep them for reference later. Like now......
The pics are captioned.
The second is a M-43 3.5"bbl. It has a aluminum cylinder and frame.
Ops! How did that Taurus get in there

I'll post pics tomorrow. Just got back from running a 200 mile relay race with 11 other guys from the White Mountains of NH to the coast (Hampton Beach). Wasn't ready for the 30 degree temps or the elevation changes. It "only" took us 27 1/2 hours non-stop. I need my head examined. :o
