I got a Browning Buckmark Challenge, brand new, as a gun for my kids to learn to shoot with. They market it as a gun for people with small hands. Why, then, do they make the trigger pull so darned heavy? It's got to be 8 pounds. That's no good.
I took it to a local gunsmith to have it lightened to 2.5 pounds. Is this a complex procedure or can I expect it to work smoothly? Is it just a matter of putting in a lighter spring?
It's a great gun and it's perfect for what I want, except for this one trait. The trigger breaks cleanly with no creep at all, it's just too heavy.
Now I know what they mean by "Lawyer Trigger".
