Which Congress critter?
« on: September 15, 2011, 06:14:27 PM »
Do any of you California guys, or gals know who the Congress person is in the district where the titsup Solyndra project resides?  It would also be interesting to know whether California's two Senators pulled any strings to help that outfit get the $.5 billion federal loan guarantee.

Pete Stark, Democrat for CA-13, one of the Congressional Socialists.  Oh, yea, you can bet Komrada Boxer helped secure this loan with help from Joke Biden.

Lots of fodder here for investigational journalists--if there were any.

On the other hand, it seems that the approval for throwing billions at greenie projects happened so fast, there might not have been time for Congressional tampering.  Executive initiative out of control?

I couldn't believe it when I heard this story.  $656 million for a company with 1100 employees.  That works out to almost $600,000 per each employee.  Ridiculous.

I work in the Silicon Valley and its been a widely known that Solydra was going down the tubes before they got the cash from obama. You don't need to be the CEO or CFO to know if the business model is working. They had been selling the panels at a loss for a while. It was not even close the loss they had been taking on nearly every order. Its not possible that obama, biden and the rest of the administration did not know this. They knew, thye just could care less. Its all about the ideology. Pick who the winners and losers will be. Or in this case at least try to pick who the winner will be.

I disagree that any of the dumycrats knew that those green outfits were about to go bust.  They are dumycrats for a reason--they're stupid.

Magooch raises a good point.  Stupid or dishonest?  Could be either (or likely a bit of both).
