cast bullets in C9

Recently got a C9 Hi Point pistol, best deal around! My question is will  it feed  lead bullets ok ? I would like to use the cheaper cast bullets if possible.

I do not own a hi point but have read nothing about them not liking cast, I have cast for years, and shot them in several guns, most all the problems guys have with cast feeding can be corrected with the powder charge or seating depth. I have had guys say the 1911 will not feed semi – wadcutters. I have shot a ton of them in my Colt 1911.
I have a Sig. 220 that was giving me some trouble with 225 Gr, LRN , I adjusted the seating depth and they shoot fine now. Some guns do prefer a round nose bullet over a LSWC.

I shoot 125 gr cast bullets in my Hi-point carbine--works great. I know the liturature that comes with it says don't shoot reloads and cast bullets--but I have gone through quit a few so far without a problem--and don't see why there should be one either. I'm thinking about getting a C9 and that is what I'm going to use in it as well.
 
Now I'm not trying to make a .357 magnum out of a 9mm either.

Honestly, don't think I have a firearm that the instructions didn't say no reloads and most say no cast.  It's all legal jerkeze for we don't want liability...  My buddy has a Kimber 1911 Compact with the crimson trace grip.  He wouldn't let me shoot any of my reloads with 200 gr. RNFP bullets over 6 gr. Unique.  One day, as I was shooting clover leafs with my .45 acp cylinder in my blackhawk he finally said, lemme try some of them...  His kimber at up 5 magazines putting most into 3" at 25 yards and when we started hitting the gong, (10x10) at that range, zero misses.  Zero miss feeds and only 1 fail to battery, which was we found out later his magazine had a little issue if filled completely.    High points are no different and if you find a cast they like, it'll do fine.  I use .452 dia. in .45 acp versions with good luck in auto's, so making sure you aren't under fitting your firearm's groove size should be your only concern.    One thing I always do is run ACP ammo through the Lee factory crimp die.  This smooths out any bulges, but keeps the mouth square for headspacing.  I find that if you skip this, about 1 in 6 will not go into battery or in my blackhawks tight cylinder, won't drop in 1/2 way.
