I stopped at a gun shop yesterday and found a nice simple Handi in 223 with a bull barrel.Of course I had to have it. I slapped a new Kruger compact 2 to 8 by 33mm this afternoon and got out to the range.
I bore sited and was close at 50 so I went to the 100 yard range. I was lucky and lazy someone left a couple targets with out many holes.
I started with Remington UMC 55gr and if you look at the pic you will see that I shot a couple dialed it in and my last 4 shots looked good. I thought a simlar thought when I shoot a new Handi "man these just shoot great."
I shot the box of Rem and went to American Eagle Tactical .223 55gr
They were all over the board. I was just wondering if "Tactical" ammo if designed for Semi Autos just to have fun and by nature were not very accurate.
Or maybe after 20 rounds I was just done?
Or maybe this gun just likes the Rem ammo?
What do you think?
Its been a while since I had a simple 223 Handi without laminated stock etc its kinda nice. compact scope I think I will have fun for a while
I was so proud of the 357 and 44 mag I put together with thumbhole laminated stock, I posted pics and my buddy Pete (petemi) commented about keeping it simple and light. Dont get me wrong I love those also but yes simple is good also
