Cheap Shot equivelent - (Muzzleloader sabot bullets)
« on: October 05, 2011, 11:34:42 AM »
I'd like to cast my own bullets for my inline. I'm looking for a smooth sided .452-.454 250 and 300 gr hollowpoint. Any idea if anyone makes such molds or who can make such molds? Thanks!

I'm well aware that you believe you want a hollow point mold, however, if you were to try one of my LFN bullets, cast hard, so there is no expansion, you would never look for another bullet as long as  you own the gun.

I definately recommend strongly against hollow point cast bullets.  They are hard to cast with high quality, must be made of very soft alloy to provide expansion, and if they expand, big game killing punch is far inferior to my solid flatnosed bullets.

Please see my website, and email me with any questions.  Website is   LBTMoulds.com

I was a big fan of hollow point bullets in handguns and large bore rifles. Shot and killed a lot of deer and other game with them. Noticed a friend that was shooting hard cast was not losing as much meat and killed his just as dead. So I started shooting a semi wadcutter hard cast and never went back. Then shot the wide nose flat point and like them even better. From a rifle they are even better than from a handgun. Try a few and they will make a believer out of you.
