My ruger 10 22

My fairly new ruger 10 22 the back sights wont go low enough to get the iron sights sighted in, what do you all sugest?I have had this rifle for about a year and have only shot it about 150 rounds throught it, i have the see thru scope mounts on it so if some thing is close i can use iron sights, and if is out there ferther use the scope but cant get the iron sights sighted in

I'm assuming the rifle is new to you but not new. If the situation is that with the rear sight all the way down the bullets are still hitting too high then the fix is a taller front sight.. They are available from Brownells as well as others.. Remember that the front sight enters the dovetail on the right side (from the rear) and exits from the same side.
