NEW 16-4
« on: September 23, 2011, 05:15:14 AM »
Well now, the .32 mag came home to me. Seller--IMO--was conservative in his description of the condition.
No dings, wear, recoil shield is unmarked, bore and cylinder walls are shiny, turn line is light, locks tight--have not made a decision on the stocks.
i'm pretty proud.

Very nice piece.
I've been on the lookout for a S&W .32 (K32...Model 16...Model 631) and they are close to the proverbial hensteeth.
Hope you have many years of enjoyment with it.

They are expensive---I was real fornuate to find this one for $700---I see them regularly for $12/1300.
Mine does not have any box of papers so that helped with the cost---another guy  on the same sight had a simular one that he wants $900 for without the box or papers.
I was looking for a shooter, the box and all don't mean too much to me.
I will send it off to have the cylinder converted to shoot 327 mags--so that will mess it up as a collector.

It shows in your avatar --- ;D , green with envy  ;)
I had to do some hard searching for it--&---I had to pay to much for it, really.
That is not my first time to pay too much for sumthin I JUST had to have.

William,

I don't think you paid too much for it.  ;) I paid more than that several years ago for mine. Of course I got the box with mine.

For the model 16s in 32 S&W long you can expect to pay upwards of 3000$ for a nice one.

I think your 16-4 was a good buy William.  :) Enjoy.
