duck gun color

OK first off I'm very new to duck hunting. I recently aquired a browning BPS 3.5 inch with a synthetic stock, and well the finish on the gun says the guns has seen some rough days. (I didn't pay anything for the gun just aquired it through some trading that I had no investment in) I thought it would be a great Dura-coat project. I have some freinds that have all tryed the Laure shake and spray kit and all of them have had nothing but good things to say about it. It will be the kit I use to do the gun (I also have a 870 3.5 so have the BPS down for a month to dry won't be a issue. OK now to my questio to all of the waterfowlers out there, the kit comes in only three colors (i'm just goint to do a one color scene for now) What color would you choose if you could only have a solid color of these four? Matte Black, OD Green, or Flat Dark Earth (kinda a light tan)?? I was going to leave the stock as it is (it's a synthetic) I just would really like to bring some life back to this gun after it's hard life. Like I said waht color would you choose if you could only have one color ( the gun will be one colr and the stock and forarm willl be black. I'm kina leaning torward the flat dark earth. Ie would fit in with allt he fall foliage and wetland grass.

I'd match the color to the terrain I usually hunted.  Dura Coat has a good reputation, and should work well.  For what its worth, I once too an old Stevens pump in similar condition, sprayed it with primer, then in a camo pattern with several colors of Rustoleum spray paint.  That worked well, and was durable.

Well I couldn't really decide on a color so I went with matte black for the BPS. This is sort of a experiment for myself the gun isn't worth to much and well. If this goes well i have  870 super mag that I'll get more in depth with for my next duracoat project. I ended up going to the Laure website and for the same price as where I found there product on midway you can get about 60 colors rather then just three that midway offers. I have a sample set coming (you get ten samples for free) When all gets said and done I'll throw some pics up but I won't start doing the 870 (if the BPS comes out good) till next year but the BPS pics hsould be up by CHRISTmas if all goes to plan. if it was me,I'd go with black
you can't mess up with black,it blends in with the shadows when hunting

any color that is dull is good for duck hunting. If you plan to add leaves and such later use a light color as the base to match the leaves of autum or grass . If you hunt timber a light gray would work well. Ducks see light reflection and movement best.
