There was a company of Mexican Texicans with Sam Houston at San Jacinto.
Whats your point? Honest question.
Were they first/second or third generation Texans? That is more to the point.
There were polish brigades involved in the civil war---if you count 3rd generation Americans as poles.
America is a melting pot--we are not all white, not all Christian, not all anything. Any person who has family here for over a 100 years can no more claim racial purity than an alley cat can claim a pedigree.
