Picked up my 45
« on: September 25, 2011, 03:08:36 PM »
I probably should never handled my BIL's Kimber, I really didn't need one, I didn't really want one, they are real expensive, and I was happy with my Glock 23.........

Sold the 23 to my oldest son for next to nothing (merry Christmas) and picked up my Kimber CDP Pro.  Sweet is the only way to describe it.  150 rounds and no hick ups.  I won't ever pay that much money for another hand gun.....at least I don't think I will  :-\

Good choice! My stainless "Pro Carry" is my favorite 1911! Carries like a small gun, shoots like a big gun, and stone reliable for the 6yrs or so I've owned it. It is mostly fed my 200gr LSWC reloads. When I shoot CDP class, that's the one I shoot. The other 1911s mostly stay in the safe.

5 years from now, You'll wonder why You ever questioned the acquisition.

The money spent will become an insignificant issue, and the gun will have given You years of satisfaction.

Enjoy!  8)

Your son would have ended up with the Glock one way or another, might as well let him enjoy it now. My dad gave me a handfull of handguns just before he passed, I hope my kids appreciate their future collection.  ;)
