This morning was the monthly South African Miniature Cannon Club here in Durban. Your moderator was invited to shoot.
The guns are fired at 25 meters. The guns have no sights.
The gun is aimed by aligning the intersection of the arc of the breech ring at 12 o'clock with the arc of the muzzle and the target, in this gun at 6 o'clock on the bull. For windage the two arcs are aligned at the trunion with the target
The shot in the white was from not settling the gun on the platform. The low hit came from excessive down correction.
Scoring is best five shots, and this target was the second high score of the day.
Not bad for having never used this aiming technique before. Your moderator brought you no shame!
