i have an remington .221 fireball 700 classic and wondering how it might fare on ole wild-e and fox... gonna start handloading and need some good adivice on this also :roll:

It works great on them out to 200 yards. Stay with the heavier bullets in the fireball for dogs.

I just started loading for the fireball myself, and have had accurate results with 40 gr Hornady Vmax and RL7 powder. I havent' yet wacked an animal with this combo, so I don't know how it will do.

I use the same loading as Tom in my .221 TC carbine 16 1/4" ....40 vmax and max load of RL-7 or Lilgun and prairiedogs out past 300 yards are not safe at all. Chrony at 3250 fps........If I were shooting yotes I might move up to 50's. Probably one of the easiest cartridges to load for there is and you get about 350 plus rounds to the pound of powder.
