If the gun is touching anything other than your hand that could cause accy. problems.

And I was resting it on the base just in front of the trigger guard.Will try it again when it warms up a bit,34 degrees right now.

Rest your fore arms on something and don't let gun touch anything but hands.
Also it might be interesting to rotate your bbl and see if its position makes a difference as to indexing with cyl. I doubt it but it might .

I will do that,on another note while seating my bullets I need to make them about longer to be able to crimp into the canelure,and the brass is trimmed to 1.600,is it safe to trm shorter.

Don't really know . I shot a 357 max and trimmed some very short to get rid of splits in the case mouth. Reduce the load then work back up if you try.
