Got my MGM barrel in a couple weeks ago. Mounted my revolution thumbhole stock last week. Got the shepherd scope mounted today and headed out to my shooting spot.
With factory 130 grn spire points, I was seeing 1/2" accuracy at 100 yards. I only fired two shots at 300 yards, "grouped" about 2" apart, about an inch and a half above the bullseye using the reticle in the scope.
Overall it's a very nice rifle. It's balanced well, the thumbhole stock is very comfortable. The scope is very clear, it was very easy to zero, took 2 shots at 50 yards and 2 shots at 100 yards. The recoil was about on par with a 300 win mag.
Gotta say I love it. Looking forward to shooting some critters with it this year. I was planning on pillar bedding the forend and reloading. But I honestly don't think I could be any happier or expect anymore from the rifle. The one thing I do need to improve on is the trigger, it's just heavy heavy and I wish it was flat instead of rounded...funny it didn't bother me as much when it was a pistol.
I shot 10 or so rounds through it and my only real complaint with it was how quickly the barrel got hot, but this is a hunting rifle and not a high volume caliber so I think I can deal with that. Oh, that and the cost of factory ammo(60$ here), but ditto on the volume thing.
