you can find the cost online at the Ga dnr site.  the area around perry is loaded with hunting opportunities.  from squirrels on up.

What BugEye said!   ;)

The DNR site is a great one and you can look up all you want to know and more and do it faster then we, or at least I, can type it!   ;D

I've hunted a bit down in that area but not for many years.  You are just a bit south of the Piedmont National Wildlife Refuge which has 'bout the best Fox Squirrel hunting I've seen.  Their deer gun hunts are quota hunts.  The state Deer Gun season usually opens around the 15th but bow season and possibly Muzzle loader should be in full swing!  Other stuff may be open also.

Check out the Piedmont, but your son needs to be cultivating some places for you to hunt!   :D

How do you hunt armadillos? Caliber, tactics, how many are there?

Armadillos are pretty much a pestilence that migrated here from south of us some years ago.  They tunnel under your plants and eat the grubs that live on the roots, and in so doing they destroy the plants.  They leave large tunnels and holes that make it dangerous to walk in the woods.

They are almost blind, so you just walk quietly up on their backside when you see them out, and blast away with about whatever you have at hand.

I've been told that south of the border folk will eat them, but that is questionable in my mind.  So it isn't really hunting as much as it's seek and destroy.

We do have a lot of coyotes in places though, and they will certainly test your hunting skills....usually hunted in pastures using calls around here.

I was just funnin' you about the armadillos, but you still are welcome to wipe out a few while here! ;D ;D

I m at Perry now, sofar went to the fair, stoped at pawn shops to look at guns and got a pump up 20 Cal pellet rifle at a flea market. Talked to people about hunting and fishing.  Next year I,ll have fishing equipment  and rifle for shooting pigs when I come to Perry.
