Who sells Stevens rifles?

I'm looking into buying a donor action.  I called my local academy, and they said they went on clearance and were basically discontinued thereafter.  There are plenty on gunbroker, but local FFL charges a lot.  We're getting a Bass Pro Shop built up here pretty soon, but otherwise that's it.


Are they still being made?  Seems like the best way to get into a good solid action for little money.

Have you tried your local gun shop? Our local guy stocks them. I have used three 200's for donor actions. Fortunately for my latest project I found a used Savage 110 on the local guy's rack. The 200's are still available. Find someone who is willing to order for you. Spend your money at home if you can. It will help keep him in business.

If your local shop (same dealer(s) who carry the rest of the Savage line) don't carry them and won't order you one, you might try a Marlin instead.  You can put aftermarket Savage bbls on the Marlin XL/XS line.

Seems the Gander Mtn store(s) in Houston, Tx area has Stevens 200s in stock.....LOL, $329 when I checked one early this week.  As last replier suggested, you might want to consider the Marlin XL/XS rifles....price is a little more than a Stevens, but the Marlin has a much better adjustable trigger, similiar to Savage accutrigger.
