Will depend entirely upon condition. The L61 was an excellent quality made rifle. The styling might not be to every ones taste but one cannto deny their quality of manufacture and fit. IMHO they are far superior to the 75/85 now being touted under the Beretta banner.

I had one a couple of years ago, a finnbear deluxe... very accurate, one of the best 30-06's I ever had... shot handloads well under MOA, closer to  half MOA, but, was a bit heavy, around 9# with a scope on it, so it went away. I miss the groups tho.  I now have a Winch. M-70 FWT that is almost as accurate, but not quite.. its moa on most days with its favorite load.  Good luck with your Sako.. Bob

I had one and wish I still did.  I absolutely loved it, still look at them on Gunbroker sometimes.  I also had one in 338 which is probably my all time worst sale decision.  They are a bit on the hefty side, ideal for the magnum cartridges, which they digest with ease and with uncanny accuracy.  My 338 routinely gave cloverleaf groups.

All of mine are model 75's.  But The older Sako rifles have a fantastic reputation.  Yes, they are a little heavier, but the Europeans don't seem to mind....and neither do I.

Talked to my "smith" one day about the old Finbear.  He said a fella brought one in to have it blue printed.  After checking it out the smith said it was one of very few actions that were built so well it really didn't need additional work.  FWIW they are great rifles.
