Changing the Hammer Spring

Got my new hammer spring from Wolff and I'm ready to change it but.....I have a question:  To extract the pins, do I need bronze or brass punches?

NO but you an use them if you want.
 
Just notice they are knurled on one side, be sure to re insert them in the same orientation.
 
Have you read the trigger job posts in the FAQ's? There is invaluable information on take down and making a "slave pin".

A lot of times I will slip a fired .22LR empty case over the end of the closest sized steel punch to do the initial rap-loose.
